I guess the times from all of the chips came in because my time and place has changed. Below is my updated information and it seems I ran it a bit better.
Well I made it. My fist 5K and I came in with a time of 34:55. I was 861 out of 1881 participants.
It felt really good to finally get out on a course with other people because I have just been training in my basement on a treadmill. It was also great knowing where the mile markers were and know that I had family out there cheering me on. I think that is why I actually ran this faster than when I was training.
I have already said that I will run this again next year and now my mom and sister are going to run as well, and when I say run I think I really mean they are going to walk. My mom is also thinking about putting a team together for next year with people she works with at Curves. I, on the other hand, am considering walking the marathon on the Sunday following the 5K.
Next on the agenda is the Thanksgiving race here in Cincinnati. That is a 10K so I have some work to do.
