Hosted by Ricky Brigante
Inside the Magic was the second podcast that I started listening to. Ricky’s Daily Dose of Disney was the first one. This podcast is one of the best produced if not the best with a great mix of news, tips and features. I highly recommend it to any Disney fan.
Ricky has also created Park Tunes. Park Tunes is a site dedicated to music throughout all of the Disney resorts. You can search for music and if it’s available for download through iTunes or Amazon MP3 you can purchase it through the site. It’s really nice, go check it out.
Hosted by Lou Mongello
Lou Mongello brings the ideals of Walt Disney to Disney podcasting. Not only does he put together a great show with his news, rumor mill, DSI segments and countless guests but he is also a great human being. Lou uses his show to help promote his books and audio guides, please check out his store, and also his charity work. His Dream Team project raises money for terminally ill children to help them experience the magic of Walt Disney World. What Lou lacks in stature he truly make up in heart.
Within the Disney podcast community “Mongello” has become a phrase replacing “Welcome” because he makes everyone feel that they are welcome to his shows or when he meets fans in the parks.
Hosted by Mike Newell, Mike Scopa, Matt Hochberg and Len Testa
What can I say about the WDW Today crew. There have been a few times that I have almost had to pull my car over to the side of the road because they had me laughing so hard. Their shows are a great mix of tips and tricks for Walt Disney World and slapstick comedy. If it wasn’t for them I don’t think I would have near the knowledge I do to plan my kids first trip to the world.
They have a wonderful Wiki on their site that goes over all ov their inside jokes and a dictionary of words only they could come up with.
Hosted by Cathy, Dan and Eric
The hometown crew! I was really excited to find out that he Mouse Guest group was from Cincinnati, OH.
Their show is a bit different than most of the other podcasts out there. They do have Disney news but they do not just focus on the parks. They dive into movie reviews, music reviews, and their annual vidcast is always great. If you are looking for something a bit different I would recommend their podcast.
Hosted by Paul Barrie
A Window to the Magic is the only Disneyland based podcast that I listen to. It took me a few episodes to get into this podcast but the shows have truly gotten better over time. The are a mix of binaural excursions through Disneyland and radio like shows of just Disney Music.
I think one of the true highlights of this podcast is the yearly Halloween episode. Patrick Hurd, a periodic contributor to the show, creates a script every year and enlists a number of other podcasters and friends to put on an old style radio show for Halloween.
Hosted by Nathan Rose and Jim Hill
Nathan and Jim truly put a unique spin on all things Disney. Their show seems to be a good cop bad cop deal with Nathan being an optimist with his love of Disney and Jim’s pessimistic view coming from his sources inside the Disney company. I’m still not sure what to make of their show but I like the overall views I get from the both of them.
Nathan also owns MagicalMountan.Net and FlickDirect.Com and Jim owns JimHillMedia.com.
Hosted by Ara Derderian and Braden Russell
I know this podcast has nothing to do with Disney but Ara and Braden put together a good show on all things home theater. They have a good mixture of news, listener e-mails and features that have helped me keep up with the home theater market since I quit Best Buy.
